RCA Alumni

Lisa Mandemaker (Design Products MA)

Lisa is a speculative designer with a strategic, contextually aware and critical approach to research and design. She considers speculative design as a tool for debate in the public domain. In collaboration with scientists, ethicists and researchers she crafts future narratives through designed prototypes, creating invitations to reflect on possible futures.

Saba Golchehr (Architecture PhD)
Saba is a design researcher and urban planner who works on human-centred design for sustainable urban development. Her work showcases innovative data-driven and speculative design approaches that address social inclusion and advocate upward social mobility in urban regeneration. She has received several recognitions, such as the Metten Stein+Design Urbanism Award and the Marie Curie Research Fellowship. She teaches speculative design, design for innovation, co-creation and design thinking in Architecture at TU Delft and works as an urban planner for the city of Amsterdam. Saba holds a PhD in Architecture from the Royal College of Art and a Master in Urbanism from Delft University of Technology.’
