The Helen Hamlyn Design Awards, recognises outstanding graduate design projects that contribute to improving quality of life.

The awards were presented to graduating students of the Royal College of Art on Tuesday 28 June 2017 at an awards ceremony at the Royal College of Art. Prizes totalled £12,000. A new category introduced to the Awards this year – The Stannah Inclusive Design Award.
The main award categories were sponsored by, MIE, Realys, Scott Brownrigg, Stannah and the Snowdon Trust. Helen Hamlyn, founder of the Helen Hamlyn Trust, gave her own personal award for creativity. There was also a Fixperts Award and a Design Award for Helen Hamlyn Alumni.
