Skyline view of Tokyo, Japan

You're invited to join us in Tokyo to meet the world's number 1 art and design university!

Studying at the Royal College of Art places you in London: a city internationally renowned for its creativity, culture and diversity - the perfect place to develop your creative career in. What do prospective students need to know about living and studying in the UK? How do cultural ecosystems differ between London and Tokyo?

You’re invited to meet senior RCA staff and alumni, and representatives of the British Council to discuss both cities, as well as how to make the most of postgraduate study, and future trends.

What to expect

Thursday 23 October 2025, 6.30-8.30pm

6.30pm - Guest arrivals and refreshments

7pm - Introduction to the panel by Prof. Christoph Linder (President and Vice-Chancellor of the Royal College of Art)

7.15pm - Panel discussion featuring Prof. Rut Blees Luxemburg (Reader in Urban Aesthetics, Senior Research Fellow, Photography MA), RCA alumni and the British Council.

8pm - Your chance to ask questions of the RCA staff and alumni

8.30pm - End

We'd love you to join for all parts of the event but if you can only join for part of it, that's fine too.
