You're invited to join us in Tokyo to meet the world's number 1 art and design university!
Studying at the Royal College of Art places you in London: a city internationally renowned for its creativity, culture and diversity - the perfect place to develop your creative career in. What do prospective students need to know about living and studying in the UK?
You’re invited to meet Prof. Christoph Lindner (President and Vice-Chancellor of the Royal College of Art), Lorna Gozzard (Director of Engagement, Brand & Marketing) and Prof. Rut Blees Luxemburg (Reader in Urban Aesthetics, Senior Research Fellow, Photography MA). We will ask RCA alumni about studying in London and their achievements since.
What to expect
Thursday 23 October 2025, 6.30-8.30pm
6.30pm - Guest arrivals and refreshments
7pm - Introduction to the panel by Lorna Gozzard (Director of Engagement, Brand & Marketing)
7.30pm - Opening talk with Prof. Christoph Linder (President and Vice-Chancellor of the Royal College of Art)
7.45pm - Presentation and questions with Prof. Rut Blees Luxemburg (Reader in Urban Aesthetics, Senior Research Fellow, Photography MA) and RCA alumni
8.30pm - End
We'd love you to join for all parts of the event but if you can only join for part of it, that's fine too.
Who is this event for
- Those interested in postgraduate study at the Royal College of Art
- Current RCA applicants and offer-holders
- Friends and family are also welcome to join, though please ensure they have a ticket to the talk and Q&A event.
You don't have to specialise in any discipline to attend this event: we welcome guests planning to apply to all subject areas.
Due to the postgraduate nature of RCA study, all attendees must be over 18.
How to join
The event is free to attend, but please note that places are limited. Pre-booking is essential to guarantee your spot.
I'm thinking of applying to the RCA - can I have an informal portfolio chat?
Yes! We're delighted you're thinking of starting your RCA journey. Please book an appointment at our portfolio event.
Other events at the RCA
We are continually adding to our diverse programme of events: conversations on key topics such as funding advice and portfolio development, symposia, exhibitions, open days and more. Many are free and open to the public.
