18 May 2022 to 20 May 2022
Awareness I Advocacy I Action
The 11th Include conference will return home to the Royal College of Art (RCA) on 18, 19, 20 May 2022. The conference series attracts delegates from design, education, entrepreneurship, business, social activism, and policy who are engaged in various aspects of human-centred design and inclusive innovation. It is open to everyone.
We are taking a hybrid approach to our 2022 conference, aiming for a good balance between in-person and online attendance to extend the global reach. The aim of Include 2022 is to create a truly connected and engaging experience for in-person and online participants. There will be academic elements to the conference as well as strong public sector, business and community engagement.
The conference will focus on the four innovation axes of Inclusive Design, that have emerged from work at The Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design over the last 30 years. These focus on exclusion by age, ability, gender and race. The conference will discuss how design-driven approaches can bring social and global change. It will tackle difficult questions and create communities of solutions.
Submissions of academic papers, design and business case studies, workshops and panel discussions, poster presentations are invited for one or more of the conference themes.
Further information about abstract submissions, key dates and conference registration will be released in the coming weeks.
