The RCA Council has launched an international search for the next Vice-Chancellor of the Royal College of Art to succeed Dr Paul Thompson, who will be stepping down in the summer of 2024, after 15 years in the role.

Commenting on the opportunity, RCA’s Chair of Council, Sir Peter Bazalgette said:
“The Royal College of Art (RCA) is the crucible of talent that has driven the UK’s reputation as a world leader in the creative industries since its foundation 185 years ago. Our next Vice-Chancellor will be charged with delivering on our ambition as well as leading our inspiring community of staff, students, researchers and global alumni network. This is a career-defining position with the potential to build upon the RCA’s significant influence on art and design, research and innovation.”
