You're invited to join us in Seoul to meet the world's number 1 art and design university!
Studying at the Royal College of Art places you in London: a city internationally renowned for its creativity, culture and diversity - the perfect place to develop your creative career in. What do prospective students need to know about living and studying in the UK? How do cultural ecosystems differ between London and Seoul?
You’re invited to meet senior RCA staff and alumni, and the British Council, to discuss both cities, as well as how to make the most of postgraduate study, and future trends.
What to expect
Saturday 25 October 2025, 3-5pm
3pm - Guest arrivals and refreshments
3.30pm - Introduction to the panel by Prof. Christoph Linder (President and Vice-Chancellor of the Royal College of Art)
3.40pm - Panel discussion featuring Yoonjoe Park, Head of Arts, British Council; Dr Kyung Hwa Shon (Graduate Diploma Art & Design: Tutor Research, Art & Design Graduate Diploma) and RCA alumni.
4.30pm - Your chance to ask questions of the RCA staff and alumni
5pm - End
We'd love you to join for all parts of the event but if you can only join for part of it, that's fine too.
Who is this event for
- Those interested in postgraduate study at the Royal College of Art
- Current RCA applicants and offer-holders
- Friends and family are also welcome to join, though please ensure they have a ticket
You don't have to specialise in any discipline to attend this event: we welcome guests planning to apply to all subject areas.
Due to the postgraduate nature of RCA study, all attendees must be over 18.
How to join
The event is free to attend, but please note that places are limited. Pre-booking is essential to guarantee your spot.
I'm thinking of applying to the RCA - can I have an informal portfolio chat?
Yes! We're delighted you're thinking of starting your RCA journey. Please join one of our portfolio events in our upcoming South Korea series.
Other events at the RCA
We are continually adding to our diverse programme of events: conversations on key topics such as funding advice and portfolio development, symposia, exhibitions, open days and more. Many are free and open to the public.
