  • Thomas Wagner is a Tutor in Design Products at the Royal College of Art, teaching on the Design through Making platform.

    As an industrial designer, Thomas has ten years prior experience from working for manufacturers, architecture and design practices where he has been designing and developing products and furniture on a broad range of projects for international market leading clients.
  • Biography

  • Born in Haderslev, Denmark, Thomas studied mechanical engineering before graduating as a Industrial Designer from Designskolen Kolding in 2005, he has since 2006 lived and worked in London. After receiving his MA in Design Products at the RCA in 2008, he worked in London design and architecture industry including Pentagram Design and Foster + Partners, where he has been responsible for designing items such as kitchen products, baby bottles, packaging, furniture, lighting and interiors for leading international brands. 

    After ten years of working for creative practices and manufactures, Thomas is now running his own London-based studio. His work has been exhibited various places including being a part of the Danish Craft Collection. His work is informed by the relationship between the object and environment to simplify complex products or reshape ordinary objects into noteworthy and clever solutions.

    As well as teaching at the RCA, Thomas is a guest lecturer at Denmark's Design School and Designskolen Kolding.
