Samuel Johnson

  • Sam is a vehicle designer with a range of experience and skills. He specialises in digital concept generation. A graduate of the RCAs Vehicle Design course he has also worked in product, furniture, and transport design. Prior to joining the RCA Sam gained a degree in Transport and Product Design from Coventry University. He has a strong interest in translating research into tangible design outputs. A common theme throughout his work is exploration of the relationship between people and their wider environment.

  • Biography

  • Sam joined the Helen Hamlyn Centre of Design in 2014, where he has worked on the Future London Taxi project and the Greenwich Automated Transport Environment project (GATEway). More recently, he has been working with industry partners at the Intelligent Mobility Design Centre looking at the how the future of luxury will affect the automotive industry and the future of urban mobility.
