Neil is a Design Consultant working with organisations at all stages of growth. He has consulted across many sectors, from high technology to healthcare and worked with start-ups, universities and the third sector as well as many blue-chip corporations. Recent clients include 3M, IKEA, Philips and Unilever. Alongside his own practice Neil is also a Design Council Associate, NESTA Associate, Associate Senior Consultant with Viadynamics.
Neil regularly speaks on the transformative power of design, has been featured in a number of books, publications and newspaper articles, and has even made it onto BBC2. Neil has also jointly authored a book Brand Romance published by Palgrave McMillan, which describes the 15 design principles that are essential to the building of a loved brand.

Neil has led pioneering work over the last 25 years, delivering projects and programmes that contribute to organisational change and growth by embedding design-led innovation capabilities at scale.
Show moreFrom 2007 to 2012, Neil was Programme Development Leader of the Design Council’s ‘Designing Demand Programme’ – a national programme that supported over 2,000 businesses to increase commercial performance by using design interventions, building design capabilities and making design a boardroom issue.
Recently Neil has been working closely with IKEA of Sweden to develop their innovation programme across different innovation horizons by leading various major projects, applying design-led innovation tools and methods and building capability.
