Laura Gordon


  • Laura is a Tutor on the RoCA's MA Visual Communication programme, teaching on the Graphic Design pathway. She works closely with students in editing Content Free – an online publishing platform for Visual Communication.

  • Biography

  • Laura is a research-led graphic designer, interested in how the tools and methods of visual communication can be used to challenge dominant social and political narratives. 

    She studied Graphic Design at the University of Brighton, and graduated from the MA Visual Communication at the Royal College of Art in 2015.

  • Practice

  • Laura’s practice is rooted in research and sits across identity, editorial and exhibition design – with ongoing projects centred around national identities, fear of failure and visual communication as a mode of social and political engagement. 

  • External collaborations

  • Laura is a design lead at The Liminal Space, a creative consultancy who use art and design to translate complex topics into tangible forms for public engagement.

    Laura has held visiting lecturer roles at Kingston University, Chelsea College of Arts and Camberwell College of Arts. She has worked closely with students as a co-founder of Crowd Talks – a design discussion group facilitating conversation between students, graduates and industry.
