Peter Byrom OBE, former Chair of Council and Pro-Provost of the Royal College of Art (1981–86) has died at the age of 95.
Peter was a long-standing member of Council from 1979 and was made a Senior Fellow of the College in 1982. His contribution to the RCA’s governance was significant and long lasting.
A much-loved figure by students and staff alike, Peter brought his experience in industry and leadership to his roles and he made a significant contribution to College life.
Peter’s outstanding career also included contributions to several other prestigious institutions such as the Textile Institute, the Royal Society of Arts, and the Dartington College of Arts.
