Juliet Jacques

Hear from Juliet Jacques, a Visiting Lecturer on our MA Contemporary Art Practice, as well as a filmmaker, and author of Trans: A memoir, an account of transition and transgender politics and culture.

Juliet documented her gender transition in a series for The Guardian called ‘A Transgender Journey’. Her latest book Variations explores the lives of trans and non-binary people in the UK through archive material and real life events spanning the period from 1846 to 2014. At this event, Juliet will discuss her latest book and how her identity influences her approach to literature, film, and journalism.
