In this conversation Laura Storm and Charlie Paton will explore Regenerative Change through Leadership and Collaboration.
This RCA x Design for Good Masterclass will discuss the ways in which we can challenge the ‘business as usual’ driving transformational change through a regenerative lens. By taking inspiration from the natural systems around us, we look at how innovative ideas, trans-disciplinary collaboration and leadership can reshape and reorganise our world into one that flourishes and thrives.
Speakers
Laura Storm is a global pioneering voice within regenerative leadership and business and has helped thousands of leaders from all walks of life with their regenerative transformation of their corporation, NGO, start-up or community. Laura is the Founder of Regenerators and Regenerators Academy and has spent 25 years working in the intersection of sustainability, organizational development, climate change policy and the wisdom of nature. From working as a volunteer in the Amazon rainforest to initiating and led several international organizations focused on the global transformation to sustainability - including Copenhagen Climate Council and Sustainia. She has been awarded the title "Worldchanger" by Greenbiz, named one of the 30 leading women within sustainability and regeneration by Sustainable Brands, is selected by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader and serves on many Boards. She runs regenerative transformation processes for individuals and organisations through Regenerators Academy and is the co-author of the much-praised book Regenerative Leadership - the DNA of life-affirming 21st century organisations that has been translated to six different languages.
Charlie Paton is a product developer, maker, designer and forester. His early success was the invention and development of motorised lighting for theatre, TV and concerts. For the past twenty years, he has been developing his Seawater Greenhouse concept, designed to produce food and water on barren land, in hot and arid coastal regions. It harnesses sunlight and seawater in a unique and inspired way, to create a virtuous cycle that produces fresh food and fresh water, in locations where shortages of both are a significant problem. Charlie has designed and built projects in five locations around the world; simple and elegant it is potentially life-changing for huge numbers of people living in deprived coastal regions.
