Open Style Lab is a design award-winning non-profit aiming to make style accessible to people of all abilities.
For the past 10 weeks, our transdisciplinary fellows, bringing together disabled and non-disabled designers, engineers, visual storytellers and occupational therapists, have been critically examining ‘dress codes’ - the explicit and implicit rules that dictate how we present ourselves to the world. From workwear to formalwear, this year’s cohort are blending wearable technology, disability-led narrative, and bespoke design to set a new standard for garment co-creation.
There are two parts of this event in-person and online:
- 'Dress Coded' Public Exhibition: 12 - 4pm, Thursday 3 September, The Hangar RCA Battersea. Registration here.
- 'Dress Coded' Presentation Livestream: 7 - 8:30pm, Thursday 3 September Registration here.
