Join award-winning 'broken folk' duo Lunatraktors. Artist/percussionist/choreographer Carli Jefferson (she/her) and nonbinary artist/vocalist/researcher Dr Clair Le Couteur (they/them) strip traditional British and Irish folk songs down to the bare bones, before rebuilding them with influences from queer cabaret, post punk and trip-hop.

Lunatraktors will introduce their approach to somatic sound and the folk tradition, talk about performance research in their practice, and share work-in-progress material from their forthcoming third album 'Dancing In Circles'. Inspired by British folk horror as a way of renegotiating tradition from a queer, decolonial perspective, Lunatraktors will explore the balance between tradition, pattern and improvisation in their work.
