As InnovationRCA's Investment Manager, Thomas plays a key role in growing and managing the portfolio of successful ventures that generate both returns and impact. He works closely with the InnovationRCA incubator team, company founders, and venture capital partners to assess potential investments by the RCA's Design and Impact Fund, and provides ongoing portfolio and investor management.
Thomas joined the Royal College of Art from Yeo Valley where he was responsible for investing in early-stage businesses in a wide range of sectors on behalf of its owners, the Mead family. He has also spent time in government advising on the sale and governance of publicly owned assets, as well as working in mergers and acquisitions roles advising business owners on company sales. He spent his early career working in commercial roles in the book publishing industry.
