Luisa is a multi-award-winning design engineer who creates playful, interactive experiences that connect communities to science, social, and environmental issues through art, design, film and technology.
Luisa Charles is a multidisciplinary design engineer known for her award-winning work in interactive and experiential design. With a background spanning film, immersive theatre, and installation art, she crafts playful, participatory experiences that engage communities worldwide.
Luisa has collaborated with major science museums – including London’s Science Museum and the National Science Museum of Thailand – and exhibited at London Design Festival and internationally. Her inclusive approach has earned her recognition such as the Helen Hamlyn Award and Greengrads Changemaker Award. Whether engineering special effects or co-designing with scientists and communities, Luisa uses technology as a storytelling tool to inspire connection, reflection and social impact.
