Jan Casey

Jan’s specialist background in design management, group dynamic methodology, creative working processes, executive coaching, professional and personal development is influenced by her diverse industry and scholarship experience. Jan is also an accredited psychotherapist.
Jan delivers group behavioural methodology, design management processes, personal and professional development across MA/MSc Innovation Design Engineering and Global Innovation Design.
Jan also leads the professional practice provision, including alumni symposia, for MA Textiles.
With her specialist experience in group behaviour and team working processes, Jan has supported Grand Challenge.
Jan has over 20 years' experience in industry as director of an award-winning, transdisciplinary design studio and now as an independent design management consultant, for clients such as Department for Education, Virgin Atlantic, NHS, Sainsbury’s, King’s College and Red Cross. Jan’s continuing practice as a psychotherapist adds insightful, empathic and analytical dimensions to her academic and consultancy work.
