Bine Roth is a material specialist and trained jewellery designer with an MA in Textiles Mixed Media from the Royal College of Art, where she is a Tutor (Research) in the Textiles programme.

Her research explores smart textiles, haptic experiences, wearable technologies, and textile interfaces, combining traditional craft with digital fabrication and emerging technologies. Her practice spans weaving, coding, material experimentation, and interactive prototyping across both physical and digital environments.

Alongside her academic practice, Bine is co-director of the London-based design collective Peut-Porter, creating installations, performances, and participatory experiences that explore the relationship between bodies, materials, and technology. Peut-Porter's work has been exhibited and performed internationally, including at the Venice Biennale, the Design Museum London, Sadler's Wells Theatre, the Museum of London, Jerusalem Design Week, BFI London, Deutsches Technikmuseum, and De Doelen Theatre Rotterdam.

Bine has taught, lectured, and led workshops internationally, supporting interdisciplinary approaches to material innovation and emerging technologies.
