As Head of Commercialisation, Albert is responsible for the commercialisation of Royal College of Art Intellectual Property and of InnovationRCA’s external entrepreneurship, innovation and incubation programmes helping individuals and organisations turn their ideas into successful businesses.

Albert is a chartered aerospace engineer and PhD, who combines broad technical knowledge with significant commercial and operational experience of growing start-ups and SMEs, including as a founder and investor. He has developed business for several early-stage technology companies, and has delivered consultancy assignments advising on major engineering programmes, on technology valuation and on commercialisation of innovation.

Albert started his career working on flagship European Space Agency programmes, such as Ariane5 and Hermes. He joined a cleantech start-up where he led product innovation and manufacturing process development, as well as securing IP and exploring new markets for the technology. He went on to work in strategic and commercial roles for SMEs bringing innovative design and simulation software to market.

Albert’s experience includes successfully raising funds from investors and public bodies, licensing technology and establishing partnerships in sectors ranging from aerospace and electronics to Formula 1 and nuclear power.
