Reduce the fuel consumption of container ships
BlueNose is developing a solution designed to significantly reduce the fuel consumption of containerships through the use of aerodynamics improvements retrofitted on board of container ships. The shape of those structures are found through the use of iterative processing algorithms.
The company was set up in 2022 by graduate of the RCA’s Innovation Design Engineering MA/MsC, Léon Grillet and co-founder, Joë Sangar, graduate of École Centrale de Nantes.
InnovationRCA helped the team to secure a patent application and the team is now developing its solution further.
