RCA Applications Now Open

The Royal College of Art offers a world-leading environment for postgraduate study in art, design, architecture and creative education. Each of our programmes encourage innovation, experimentation and critical thinking, preparing students to shape the future of creative practice and research.

Round 1 applications for all programmes beginning in September 2026 are now open, with a deadline of Monday 19 January 2026, 12 noon GMT.

In addition to the September 2026 entry, we are also welcoming applications for January 2026 starts. This includes PhD study, the Graduate Diploma, and select Masters programmes, including MFA Communication, MArch Design Practice and MEd Creative Education.

Students beginning their studies on the Graduate Diploma in January will be well placed to apply and progress onto a Master’s degree at the RCA from September 2026, continuing their creative and academic development within our vibrant postgraduate community.

We encourage all applicants to review our application process carefully, as requirements and timelines may vary by programme. Places on all courses are competitive, and early application is strongly advised.
