The first event in the Inside/Out Lecture Series 2022-23 from Interior Design MA will welcome Beata Heuman who will explore her recent work.
Born in Sweden, Beata Heuman set up her London studio in 2013. Her work is known for being original and playful and has amassed a significant following with her creative interiors and positive approach. Beata launched her online shop called “Shoppa” in January 2020, selling a range of her own fabrics, wallpapers, handles, lighting, homewares and furniture.
In March 2021, Beata published a best-selling book called “Every Room Should Sing”. In this lecture, Beata will share insights on making a career as an Interior Designer drawing on her own experiences. She will focus on finding your creative eye, unlocking the imagination and sources of inspiration as well as practical and less glamorous elements such as getting a job, taking risks and dealing with difficult clients.
This lecture series is initiated and organised by Stephanie Cheung, Mauricio Salgado Arenas, Phoebe Mendel, Evgeniya Beruchashvili and Alexandra Ellerkamp.
