The Inside/Out Lecture Series welcomes Professor Graeme Brooker for the opening lecture of the 2025–2026 academic year.

Brooker will discuss his latest publication, The Story of the Interior (Thames & Hudson), an exploration of how interior spaces, from ancient temples and medieval castles to modern airports and high-fashion boutiques, reveal the evolution of design, culture, and human experience.

Spanning architecture, urbanism, and furniture design, the book traces how the fundamental elements of a room, walls, doors, windows, furniture, and ambience, have evolved and endured through time.

Join us for an evening of dialogue and reflection, followed by a book signing and open conversation with the author.

Inside/Out is a student-led curation of in-person lectures and conversations, featuring esteemed leaders of the design industry. The series dissects and critically discusses the technologies that are reshaping the field today and in the future.
