How can we rethink food systems in response to the escalating climate crisis?
This event brings together critical perspectives on agriculture, ecology, and planetary health, exploring how current systems of production and consumption might be transformed. From extractive, industrial models toward regenerative, care-based, and circular practices, the talk invites us to reconsider our relationship with food, land, and more-than-human life.
The session will feature a keynote by Dr Sailesh Rao, systems theorist, climate activist, and founder of Climate Healers. A speaker at UN Climate Change Conferences (COP), Dr Rao argues that animal agriculture is a key driver of planetary imbalance and calls for a transition from Planet A to Planet B through plant-based, regenerative systems.
The event will also include a series of short lightning talks by RCA students presenting projects related to food systems, agriculture, and climate futures.
