This exhibition from MDes Design Futures explores the future of childhood and adolescence at a time when it feels more uncertain, and more important, than ever.

Rapid sociocultural, environmental, technological and economic changes are reshaping young people’s wellbeing, rights and opportunities. Across the UK, growing inequality, changing family structures, digital saturation and climate pressures are transforming what it means to grow up.

Through a futures-oriented lens, the work presented here considers how alternative futures might be imagined in which children and young people can flourish, find their voice, and actively shape the world around them.
