'A collective coming together and celebration of our year in the form of a public art installation'
On July 9, 2–6pm an art installation of 70 final year MA Fashion students will be laid out in Victoria Park. 70 images printed out 1.2m x 1.45m on material will be laid out in grid format to walk about and view in close up. Meanwhile earlier that morning a fly by drone filmed by Richard Hughes will capture an aerial view of the world and visual work.
A field of imagery from above , an image that in close up creates conversation and community between each other and amongst others.
They present work asking questions about avatars, new behaviours, complex digital surroundings , mythical creatures, post human and machine detritus, granular self, mental states change, and the human skills silhouettes and soft forms that shows different levels of aesthetics and stories to be told. They are post fashion, they are beyond categorizations as a year, they offer this moment to each other to share with each other after being apart for so long.
