Another World is Possible is a continuously self-curating, decentralised exhibition, digitally showcasing an ever expanding ecosystem of artists around the globe.

On a website cloned and adapted from the Royal College of Art’s digital body - a parallel reality accessed here through the website of the institution itself - the exhibition spreads through viral email chains and customised automated scripts, with each exhibiting artist inviting another. The exhibition acts as a digital institutional parasite, showcasing international artists and artists who may not currently have access to institutional platforms.

Another World is Possible was conceived over months in lockdown, initially between Royal College of Art students who met online on Peter Kennard and Gayle Chong Kwan’s MA group workshop of the same name. The collective Protozoa was formed over countless Zoom calls, WhatsApp conversations and collaborative Google Docs between a group of individuals who are all yet to meet in person. The students emerged from these conversations as index cases for the exhibition Another World is Possible.

As a collective platform for cathartic re-imaginings, the exhibition has the opportunity to grow exponentially, parasitically attached to the institution's online presence, while the exhibited works and website all exist in amorphous, generative states of potentiality.
