Steve is a designer, artist and academic who has operated between the boundaries of art and architecture for nearly twenty-five years.

Steve's research investigates reuse as a critical and creative design framework, positioning the existing built environment as a repository of material and cultural knowledge. Through architectural, interior, and object-based practice, he examines how reinterpretation generates new meaning and value within existing contexts.

Making and craft are central to this inquiry, functioning as forms of material thinking that integrate conceptual, technical, and experiential dimensions of design. Drawing on over three decades of interdisciplinary practice, his work incorporates emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and narrative film to explore how reuse and craft can shape more sustainable and contextually resonant futures.

A balance of professional practice and education has created a unique body of work that has enabled Steve to formulate a strong design identity and educational aptitude.

Steve's past companies Juggernaut Design and Anarchitect were both critically acclaimed, winning awards that included Retail Design of the Year and ICA/Toshiba Arts Innovation Award.

He has been published, worked and built globally, with clients such as Vivienne Westwood, Nike and Endemol, along with numerous private clients and artist collaborations.

He has extensive teaching experience at all levels, engaging with schools and students from all over the world.
