Orit is an art critic and writer who has contributed to numerous magazines. She is currently working on her first book.
Orit guides writers by discussing their work with them in depth while also providing editorial feedback and professional advice. She draws on her experience as a freelancer writer and an editor for several magazines, including ArtReview, BOMB Magazine and e-flux.

Current and recent projects
Orit Gat is currently working on a non-fiction book, titled If Anything Happens, that looks at football (soccer) as a prism through which to explore questions about immigration, nationalism, race, gender, money, love, and the possibility of belonging.

Orit Gat has contributed essays, reviews, and other short-form writing to multiple magazines, including The White Review, frieze, e-flux journal and e-flux Criticism, ArtReview, Tolka, Jacobin, the Times Literary Supplement, the LA Review of Books, The World Policy Journal, and Cultured, among many others. Orit writes and records art criticism for the radio for RTE in Ireland and has written catalogue essays for many artists, including Camille Henrot, Anna Plesset, and Clare Strand. She has published essays in books published by Routledge, Sternberg Press, and others.
