Irina’s practice examines how material transformation reflects broader questions of identity, memory, and resilience. Through the medium of clay, she explores the tension between permanence and loss, the cyclical nature of decay and renewal, and the ways in which objects can embody cultural and emotional histories. Her work often draws on architectural and archaeological references, connecting personal and collective narratives across time. By reimagining traces of erosion and repair as sites of beauty, Irina reflects on the fragility of human experience and the persistence of meaning through change. Her sculptures have been exhibited internationally and are held in major public collections including Chatsworth House, the Mashiko Museum of Ceramic Art, and the Museum of Fine Arts in Lyon.
