Classes at Imperial
RCA staff, students and graduates are welcome to enrol on part-time evening classes run by the Centre for Languages, Culture and Communication at Imperial College London, at a discounted 'associate' rate. Classes are offered in modern languages (at various levels) as well as courses covering a range of science, arts and humanities subjects (e.g. creative writing, opera appreciation, music technology and film appreciation).
Courses consist of 20 weekly sessions (2 hours each, 6–8pm) running over the autumn and spring terms. All courses, 40 hours of tuition in total, begin in mid-October, break for Christmas, resume in early January and finish in the second half of March before Easter.
New for 2018/19, RCA students and staff are also eligible to enrol on new Imperial College London 'lunchtime' courses, formed of shorter 50-minute sessions.
Please note that the long-standing arrangement whereby RCA members and alumni were able to enrol at the Imperial College rate has been discontinued. Effective September 2016 a new discounted rate applies. Please check the website for full details.
Online enrolment with payment via debit or credit card starts in early September. It is not possible to enrol by telephone or email.
Prospective applicants requiring language course-level advice are requested to contact the relevant language coordinator prior to enrolment.
