Wheel

My works all connect about reincarnation, the wood prints created based on the wheel of Buddhism's reincarnation wheel. The image carried some personal views about death and live through the experience with my grandma's death. The photography of figure of Buddha taken from British Museum not just about the protection of historical problem. Further more is relating how the people's watching this figure between live and death. The four etching prints named " The Close your eyes" is simulating what the people will see when they are closing their eyes in the last moment of live. The Form of books descried a story about beginning of live, the four figures using their personal characters to merge with one meat to creates different species respectively.

  • I am an artist, printmaker, illustrator and designer. My practices are about the relation between religion and human. How the religion effect people's daily life. In addition,  there two branches in this filed, one is how the religion explain the source of life. For example, the reincarnation in different religion system has a few differences. Death seems is a not the end of life, live may transfers to another form to consist their journey.  Secondly, most of religion physical present which is ritual, temple, sculpture or decoration. One of that is historical relics and works, as a Chinese I knew there are a lot of relics lost or stool  in the whole world. I hope to bring them back home in my way.
