The Cell Galaxy
Is there another world out there, made of real substance but with a mix of different dimensions? This collection illustrates my imagination and understanding of the connection between body and space.
'There are different ways for individual people to take over space', says Andy Warhol. As a 3D object, a body has a strong individuality of shape and identity; in the meantime, it also helps to demonstrate the space around it.
By applying plastic on top of layered patterns, the garments in my collection blend into certain planes, which allow the body to weave through all the pieces.Info

Born in China, Zhujing studied fashion design in Beijing before her life at the RCA. Always inspired by modern architecture and abstract art, her work mainly focuses on the connection between bodies and space. By applying plastics to wool suiting, silks and other traditional materials, her design has a very graphic approach to minimal shapes and a modern androgynous style.
