Human Monster

Human Monster is a socially engaging art project that works by gathering a variety of people to interact and create different stories using art materials, performance and conversations to create characters. These characters reflect on the roles which individuals play in everyday life.

By assigning the different participants to different groups, they can communicate and talk about their personality and desires, reflecting and understanding the role individuals play in their daily life during the conversation. The participant can use different art materials to visualise their characters and desires in the objects or the performance.

Human Monster will create some surreal scenes by showing different stories, animations, objects and images. We will lead the participants to bring their visual characters into the surreal scenes and let them interact with others in their group. In the end, the participants will create new surreal stories, films and images through dialogue and physical interaction with others.

Human Monster is aiming to encourage people to reflect on the current political ideology and environment. Then individuals can start to criticise how these rules relate to their initial desires. We are trying to break down a big political concept into individuals' daily relationship with others. We encourage individuals to rethink their position in society and what politics means to them. In terms of making individuals start to have political awareness.
