    MA Fashion Womenswear, 2019

  • I am Yvonne Lim, a womenswear designer from Malaysia. My background is very diverse, having studied mathematics and economics at the London School of Economics, and then starting my design education at Parsons School of Design, and later on the Royal College of Art. Prior to my starting my masters education, I co-founded a womenswear label called LINE 32, which focused on accessible everyday wear.

My work revolves around celebrating and embracing femininity. I have found nothing more beautiful and powerful than the woman at work. My graduate project is Soft Power; it is a collection of nine essentials for the modern working woman. A huge part of my project is engaging and building relationships with real working women, and the Soft Power wardrobe has been built around the needs of these women.

I hope to continue to dedicate my future work to women, and am looking to practice in the areas of women's work wear, e-commerce and fashion technology.
