Your Reservation Is Confirmed
In the project Your Reservation Is Confirmed, I rent the ‘ideal’ home through the online hospitality service Airbnb, and book the ‘ideal’ man through the Internet to construct my ‘ideal’ images. By bringing these instant illusions of the desired life out of the digital screen, my work tries to explore the commodification of our desire and question the distinction between representations and individual subjects in an era of rapid social change.

My work engages with the question of the gaze in relation to gender, desire and sexuality, culminating in the investigation of the male representation as an erotic subject in light of digital social networks.Â
As both the viewer and the subject, I use photography as an invasive tool of observing to play with the power relationship inherent in the gaze, and to question the masculinity/feniminity opposition in the current age.
