Components
I have always been attracted to designed products and take pleasure in observing how components joint together, the elegance of ordinary designed object, the balance of straight line and curve. I never seek them as a functional product but look at it as an object to capture the pure movement and relationship between each component.Â

I first discovered working with clay when I was taught to hand build by an art school teacher in 2010. Due to the shortage of ceramics courses in Hong Kong, I moved to London and studied for a bachelor's degree in Central Saint Martins (2016) and MA at the Royal College of Art in ceramics (2018).Â

My work involves a lot of press moulding and slip-cast process. It allows me to have the flexibility to make each work unique by distorting the form and I have a standard quality of shape and scale to unify them. Decorative slip and underglaze pencil are the elements for me to decorate the surface and provide them a character with the illustrative pattern I develop through my sketchbook. The outcome of my work is to discover the purity of designed objects and provide them a different context.
