Formosan Identity
Yun Cheng's etching prints present 5 historical time periods of Taiwan from 17th century to present, along with installations indicate the codes and symbols extracted from each print. From various ways of experiments, she intends to think through the concept of ‘Taiwanese cultural identity' by simplifying the historical information into five pieces of time to explain the varieties of cultural backgrounds in each time that exsist on such a small sweet potato island.

Having experiences in both ceramic and printmaking makes my works vary between traditional graphics and sculptural crafting. Mainly focus on exploring Taiwanese cultures, traditions as well as lifestyle.
