This project is about the loneliness and feelings of confusion around people in the modern world. The main topic about communicating with ourselves – how to make people think about the technology of social communication; are we lost inside? Has the world become too fast with communication? How to make us attend an art project? Have we lost the focal point in communication if we're always using a phone and computer？

People always focus on the future, so we make money and we chat with others through technological devices, but we still always feel lonely and anxious – why? How do we have a conversation with ourselves to reduce the feelings of loneliness and anxiety? How do we stay with ourselves to make us confident and comfort us everyday?

I agree that reflection is so important for our lives – we should feel our own feelings, face them, talk with them, touch them. To talk with our multiple memories at different times and in different environments; we can always obtain different experiences. Actually, they all have close contact with our future experiences. 

So basically, my New island project, was like a research project for the project 1000 bystanders' positions. I researched my past memories, did a performance, and some individual graphic design. In that project I found the performance part got in touch with people, since then, I've felt like it's very important to make people realise some particular emotions. People should attend the project, otherwise the project will be just like a boring shell, even if it is beautiful. To make reflections happen around people is the purpose of this project – this is the experience I want to give the audience.

The materials in this project are 1000 small drift bottles with 1000 small model people inside, hundreds of electronic chips from computers and phones, and photographic films about my life from the last seven years. Everyone can get one bottle if they attend the final show, but in exchange, they have to leave a sentence to express their standpoint on loneliness, or other keywords.
