Dynamic Stilness

Dynamic Stillness is a fully structural material for use in future autonomous vehicle interiors, which brings passengers a sensation of pure calmness. Based on principles used in traditional craftsmanship of Japanese pagoda system, the modern structure is a flexible shock absorbing installation: air flows through the aerodynamic surfaces, slightly causing a one directional movement of it, which meanwhile generates a counteraction of the movement, dissipating the strength in three directions so that the centre always remains stabilised and balanced. Weaving hexagon hybrid leather and felt inside out with the structure brings a supportive yet adaptive, comfortable body contact surface, enhancing the feeling of serenity and tranquillity.

  • Designing is like testing a chemical reaction. One should always be brave, patient, curious, critical, creative and collaborative enough so that the best solution can be found. A good design arouses people's empathy beyond their expectation.
