In this project I made design suggestions for several daily objects in our workplaces. I created hidden spaces in tables, shelf units and lamps to help conceal personal belongings, from electronic devices that others ‘borrow’ but never give back, to sweets that you just want to keep exclusively for yourself.
Through my observation, we make judgments based mainly on our experiences and what we see. This dependency on visual information can create many blind spots. In this project, I employ everyday stereotypes of how we perceive solid, transparency and lighting to play with notions of ‘void and solid’ and ‘true and false’.
