  • Yiran Huang is a London-based Chinese illustrator. Since her childhood she has enjoyed drawing, and when she feels words are a bit superfluous drawing becomes the most important way to express her emotions and thoughts. She is quite engaged with diary-based drawing, creating images combining her imagination and feelings. She uses drawing as a therapeutic tool that fits into her daily life. Huang is also a big fan of pattern drawing: she maintains a large collection of her pattern drawings, which can be regarded as ‘spiritual spirals’. She also enjoys printmaking and craft making, such as ceramic painting.
