Antidote

Poetry is about one image associating with another images' impact on one’s imagination. As an astronomer, Rebecca Elson understood that there is no distinction between physical matter on earth or in the universe; that each individual is a part of everything else, and that 'everything' is still being formed. Following one round of chemotherapy, and before her cancer came back very aggressively, she wrote her very last poem, 'Antidote to Fear of Death'.

This project is a new interpretation of that poem. By using these different sources materials – drawings, photographic and found imagery – my work creates different sensations, which allow us to experience both the internal world and external associations.
