Touched, yet Untouchable

Introducing bespoke “touching” memories to interior and space design, the work explores evocable surfaces, which aiming to let its audience re-sensing the softness and textures through tactility and sight perception. The statement of the work “touched, yet untouchable” embodied in its visual effects and pattern design which draw upon depth perception and sight illusion. From experimental filming to 3D form embroidery, the work re-interprets the connection between object (textile, surfaces and the surrounding space) and subject (people’s emotion, memories and time).

  • Yi-Han Fu is a Taiwanese textile designer and artist working in material-led production for interior and bespoke space. Along her background of graphic design, and her unique interpretation of natural textures surrounded in the environment, Yi-Han’s research interests lie in field of tactility, individual memories and phenomenology.
