Topographies of Pain
Topographies of Pain aimed at exploring pain related affordance when verbal scales are hard and cannot be used. The project developed a toolkit, which is intended to assist people to articulate their pain symptoms. It includes a tangible interface, which worked as a medium allowing people to manipulate their feeling of pain. It provides both tactile and visual feedback. Another hand wearable device is designed for helping the patient in both conscious and unconscious states to be able to self-report their pain. It worked as a bridge between the observational scale used by medical professionals.Â
