MA work
MA work
My work questions the rules and possibilities offered by the comic genre.

Often misjudged because of its status within popular culture, it has been a fantastic tool of the narrative of graphic experimentation from as far back as the Middle Ages.

I have been carrying out research that aims to challenge the genre by analysing the breakthroughs achieved by some of its greatest champions. My work plays with the composition of space, and the visual games created by the marriage of words and pictures and how each can substitute the other to create a genre-defying graphic oddity.
