Perception Enhancement
We are always curious about things we don't know about. We managed to get into space to see the world from outside the world, and also invented high-tech tools to explore a world from inside the world, hence we think, learn and step forward.
Â
As a jewellery designer, I would like to create pieces that make the wearers and the audiences see and feel the world in an even slightly different way.
Â
Time fascinates me, there is a world between one second and another. Zooming into this, the sounds and the movement in daily life are extended into prolonged syllables and continuous picture scrolls. Tiny but interesting details of life are revealed, for example you can recognize that the tone of a letter in a word is 0.000001 degree higher than the other, and there are 100 changes of the lightness of your skin tone during the second when you are raising your head. All this is ignored in our world but I want to awaken our awareness of such things.
Â
The specific forms of my pieces are generated from observing movement of people and objects in daily life, and from imaging with drawings. The colours all help to emphasis and express the movement.
