MA work
My work aims to blur the boundary between design and engineering and art, and to contribute to the emergence of new design concepts by employing kinetic elements as a point of departure, with a particular interest in the perception of time. Rather than using technology simply as a means to enhance pre-existing artefacts to perform their functions, I explore potential analogies between mechanical systems and the movement of living organisms. In addition, this application of technology encourages an analogue interaction between the object and the user.
