MA work
My work crosses the boundaries between photography, graphic design and animation. I am interested in the human dimensions of social, political and environmental issues. In an attempt to draw attention to the behaviour of multi-national corporations in developing economies, I took staged portraits of the widows of GM cotton farmers in rural India who had been driven to suicide. Research for this project led to my involvement in building a house for a 17-year-old orphan. In another project I created an animated film about climate change in the Brazilian Amazon, which will be used in a workshop for primary school children that deals with the aftermath of globalisation.
